Get to Know the Faces Behind Our Paw-sitive Team
Emma
I am the founder of kingswood dogs. Lifelong dog lover, 10years breeding experience.
My main roles are with assisting whelping, puppy handling and reading, sick puppy support,
I also handle the finances of the business.
Something interesting about Emma is that she competes in triathlons and open-water swimming. In 2023, she swam England’s longest lake from one end to the other, Lake Windermere (11 miles), in under 5hours!
Melissa
Mel is the head of the Suffolk team. She is an avid animal lover and a very kind lady with a huge heart. Mel's passion is for horses and dogs. Her role in Kingswood is to house the dogs and conduct puppy rearing, ensuring all dogs and puppies receive the best mental and physical stimulation while they’re with us.
Emma
Emma has taken more of a backseat approach in recent years. Emma is very much the brain of the DNA and mating selector. Emma is also our DEFRA-approved transporter if we need to transport animals to matings or puppies to new homes.
Emma focuses more on running. In 2023, Emma completed the Loch Ness Marathon in Scotland and the Palma half marathon in Mallorca 🏃♀
Lucy
Lucy is a very experience dog and horse handler. Lucy’s role is based in Suffolk, supporting Mel. She ensures the safety and well-being of the animals, and also offers pampering and claw clipping for all of our puppies before they go off to their new homes.
Rachael
The newest member of our team. Rachel helps to ensure all of the adult dogs are adequately exercised, and her self appointed role of “puppy cuddler”. You can often find Rachel in the puppy pen making sure they’re all super well handled and socialised. Rachel is also a very experienced dog walker and can offer behavioural consultations or offer advice on introducing puppies into families with other animals.
